Sharing perspectives: Christians and Muslims in the Holy Land

The “Sharing perspectives” course has taken place annually at St George’s College, Jerusalem since March 2014.  The aim of the course is to enable current and future leaders from both faiths to gain insights and a depth of understanding of each other’s faith which they can use to promote Christian-Muslim dialogue, reflection and understanding in their communities in the UK.

In 2016, 9 members of each faith will live together as an inter faith community in the unique shared context of Jerusalem, hearing from experts in both faiths, visiting holy sites of the Abrahamic faiths together, hearing local people’s experience of life and faith in the Holy Land and engaging in inter faith dialogue and reflection about their experiences.    The course will be co-led by Bishop Richard, Shaykh Ibrahim Mogra, Dr Mustafa Abu Sway and Revd Dr Rodney Aist, and we hope to include input from the Archbishop of Jerusalem.

The course is supported by the Christian Muslim Forum and will run again from 9th to 18th March 2016.  If you would like to be considered to join the course, please register your interest initially with Margaret Humphries, Bishop Richard’s PA,  and complete and return the application form by 15 January 2016.
